Reigate Priory v Stoke July 2017

Learning Experience for Weak Academy XI

Sunday 9th July 2017
Surrey Trust League
Stoke D’Abernon 125 all out (36.3 overs)
Reigate Priory 126 for 1 (21.3 overs)
Reigate Priory won by 9 wickets

It would be an understatement to say that this weekend’s selection and finalising teams was like herding cats, (great book of the same name for those who may care to read it, by the way), and Stoke’s Academy bore the brunt yesterday, running into a different herd, one of llamas in Reigate, and did their best with limited resources.

Stoke D’Abernon 3rd XI 268 for 4 (45 overs)
Woodmansterne 163 all out (45 overs)

Nat West Under 19 T20 Blast
Stoke Slayers 95 all out (17.4 overs)
Byfleet Buccaneers 96 for 7 (20 overs)

Who says a T20 match needs to have loads of runs and boundaries galore to be entertaining? This encounter had as much drama as a free-scoring one, and both sides can take a lot of credit from the way they approached the match.
