Stoke maintained their post-league 100% record with a big run chase over Twickenham at the Rec.

The early start meant a lively pitch first up, Keegan Weideman and Matt Mustill getting a few to jump at the batsmen from the surface. As one Stoker described him, “fed up of being hit” opener Slater skied a length delivery from Mustill Jnr to Will Frost at mid-off. Read more

Good availability meant that Stoke were able to field an extra XI this week and our thanks go to Keith Medlycott and Dan Gluckman for managing a young side at Long Ditton, who invited Stoke to fill in after they lost their original league opposition. Read more

Stoke’s 2nd XI hauled themselves out of the relegation places with a big win over Ashford at the Rec; Stoke perhaps fortunate to catch Ashford in a week of poor availability for the second time this season, (the visitors started with nine in the field and only ten played), but this was still a clinical display. Before reading on a massive vote of thanks to Maori Oxshott for hosting this fixture. Stoke were starved of friendly T20 action having had both oppositions from last week scratch due to lack of numbers. Oxshott did, in fact, raise a side at very short notice to replace one of them last week, only for both sides to be beaten by the weather, but undeterred the clubs raised sides again. Read more
