Sutton won the toss and decided to bat first in overcast conditions. With the lethal combination of Dom Lloyd and Alex Bond to open the bowling runs were expected to be restricted especially with a combination of youth, enthusiasm and experience throughout the field. What was to come was unexpected to say the least. Sutton got off the mark in the 4th over and struggled to keep the run rate above two. Read more

Stoke’s Sunday XI lost a thriller at the Rec with all results possible on the final ball.

The visitors chose to bat and registered a total of 207 for 6 from their 40 overs. Brothers Richie and Robbie Parrett appeared in a Stoke side together for the first time since July 2009, and each took two wickets; Richie taking bragging rights with 2 for 33 versus 2 for 45 in their allotted eight over spells. There was a wicket each for Adam Cooke and Rod Thomson. Gregory top scored with 70. Read more
