Not for the first time this season, Stoke’s second string were left to rue a shortage of runs and fell to a 68 run defeat at the hands of title chasing Maori Oxshott. Read more

Improved performances but ultimate frustration for both Stoke’s Saturday League sides as they each had their opponents blocking out the last few overs for the draw. Read more

Sunday XI finish season with brave performance against Dorking

Dorking won by 19 runs

Stoke finished off the season with a good performance but ultimately a loss to a strong Dorking XI on Sunday. 

Dorking took first use of a green strip but early inroads were made by Stoke when Spackman lobbed a loosener from Po to a diving Dan at point in the second over.  Bondi had taken the first over but struggled with his footing, (the ground being still damp following the morning rains), so Skipper Matt G took over at the Blundell Lane end. Po struck again at the start of the sixth over when M Homewood left an in swinger only to see it hit off stump – both openers out for 5.
