Stoke’s Academy paid the price for not batting their overs and lost their unbeaten record at Valley End.

James Trower cracked an even 50; but only James Corbishley, (25), and a typical cleanly struck 31 from Michael Dolman were the only other scores of note as Stoke were shot out for 181 in just 34.5 overs. Read more

Stoke’s 1st XI were back to winning ways with a comprehensive victory over Mitcham at the Rec.

Choosing to bat first after the late arrival of the opposition led to a forfeiture of the toss, Stoke skipper Jack Raimondo was an early casualty when he clipped a ball from Parth Vyas to mid-wicket. Read more

Near neighbours Stoke and Maori Oxshott played out an enjoyable 40-over friendly match at Steels Lane.

The hosts chose to bat on winning the toss, and openers Guy Harper and Steve Saker batted patiently against decent Stoke bowling on an unresponsive pitch from Jase Earl, Charlie Thomas and Ralph Coleman. Read more

A second T20 match in the space of 48 hours for Stoke ended in defeat, but decent bar takings and a chance for the 1st XI squad to wind down with some cricket to watch after their training session more than justified the effort to get the game on. Read more
