With numbers for one and a half teams in the week, to avoid the prospect of having to tell many starved of cricket recently due to the weather that they had no game, a ringaround – notably from David Cook – meant we were able to raise a second side to play a home match in addition to the pre-carded one at Ashford. What an event!

From Monday to Thursday, the rain was pouring down and the ‘Stoke Smash’ organising committee was contemplating a myriad of actions, including postponement, using the astro pitch for the match and renting a dozen gazebos to keep people dry. Read more

Peter Phipps will replace Jo Patrick as Club Secretary. Peter is a stalwart of our 2nd XI and Sunday squad, and it will be pleasure to have him support me with the administration of the club and the maintenance of our important relationship with Elmbridge Borough Council. Read more
