Stoke’s Academy started the day knowing a win from one of their final two zonal games would ensure qualification for either the Main or Plate semi-final competitions. Defeat on a hot day to Old Whitgiftians by 22 runs means they must now beat Sunbury next week to ensure qualification, but matters are still in their own hands. Read more

Stoke made their annual trip to Claygate to participate in their cricket week and played out a thriller, ultimately losing in extra time as an unbeaten 140 from Chris Howe and excellent support from the lower order saw the hosts home with a wicket to spare. Read more

Stoke’s Academy were second best for the first quarter of their latest Surrey Trust League match but ultimately ran out confortable winners after the bowlers, led by Jake Lavender who took career best figures of 5 for 25, helped dismiss former competition winners Beddington for 175, then the batsmen knocked the runs off in just 31.3 overs.
