Next Saturday, 8th April 2017, is our annual pre-season working party. Please report for 9am.
Once again this will be in association with NatWest Cricket Force who have sent us another bag of t-shirts to wear!!!
Below is a lengthy list of things we need to do. If you can help Pagie with materials and tools, e-mail : firstname.lastname@example.org Read more
An increased turnout for this year’s AGM; a few watched the rugby ahead of the main event…
…and many more stopped back to have a few beers and some food afterwards.
Applying an ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ approach following our excellent 2016 season, most of the roles and responsibilities for 2017 remain unchanged. James Trower continues as Club Captain, likewise Jase Earl retains his role skippering the 2nd XI. Read more
Our pre-season working party will be on Saturday 8th April 2017.
As per last year we will treat this as our Nat West Cricket Force Day. T-shirts will be handed out to all those who come along to help.
Keep an eye on your in-boxes for a note from Pagie of timings and what needs to be done to get us up and running in time for the new season. Read more
A message of thanks from Drew for everyone’s help with the pre-season working parties:

A reminder that we need as many of you as possible at the Club on Saturday morning from 9am/9.30am to help Pagie finish off the rest of the pre-season working party tasks.
The major job is to take the old sightscreens apart, stack the timber on the old net concrete base to the side of the Clubhouse and get a skip ordered to be delivered when someone can unlock the height restrictor bar to let it into the car park. Read more
A BIG THANK-YOU from Pagie and Drew to those who came down and helped with the Working Party at the weekend.
We got most of the jobs done, but not all, so we MUST finish them off this coming Saturday, (16th April 2016), to be ready for the beginning of outdoor net sessions and the matches. Read more
This year’s Pre-Season Working Party will be on Saturday 9th April 2016.
It will be an all-morning event, (and if the weather is good we may have a practice in the afternoon), so please try to get to the Stoke Rec for 9am/9.30am. Pagie needs your help with a number of key tasks : sightscreen scrub, strimming the rear garden; nets, (inc cable ties); mobile net, assemble the new roll-on net, (parts are in the garage), lopping the trees, disposing of the old drinks fridge, sorting out the mesh fencing, varnishing the woodwork; and internally we need to give the clubhouse a spring clean and go through the kit store to identify anything we need to replace.
