Weybridge U11 won by 29 runs
A very competitive match away to Weybridge saw the hosts just edge it. Stoke were very unlucky putting in an excellent team performance, containing a strong Weybridge team, (resplendent in their purple coloured clothing.) Great work by George A taking 3 wickets, two for JT, two for Hasaan, one for Toby & Charlie and both Charlie & Oliver taking two catches each.

We have a second U11, (including some below that age), pre-season match tonight at The Rec.
There will be fewer players than last Friday as many Colts are playing for their schools this afternoon. We will however have two mixed age sides:

Tomorrow sees the first of our weekly colts events at the Club; a four team tournament featuring teams made up from players from our colts section.
Time : 5.30pm meet for 5.45pm start.
Venue : Stoke Main Ground
– Matches will take place on the main square
– The resting teams will participate in a six hitting competition in the nets, target throw and catching competitions on the outfield
– The team that accumulates most points on all competitions will be overall winners!
We played our usual mix of competitive, friendly and age-group T20 cricket this year.
In senior T20 we recorded a great victory over Valley End in the first round of the Surrey Championship T20 competition, (that gave the 1st XI squad a lot of momentum at the time after an indifferent start to the season), and we went through the next round on a bowl-out before losing to eventual Finals Day participants Weybridge.
