Walton-on-Thames won by 8 runs

Stoke suffered a narrow defeat in their opening Trust League match of the year in a game they were well placed to win at drinks during the chase, then seemingly out of it five overs later, but then almost pulling off the improbable with Club competition record 9th and 10th wicket partnerships. AGM News (Minutes Now Available)

The recent AGM – overseen by new President Stephen Finch – was very much a case of ‘if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it’ following our excellent 2017 season, most of the roles and responsibilities for 2018 remaining unchanged. James Trower continues as Club Captain, likewise Jase Earl retains his role skippering the 2nd XI. Read more

Stoke D’Abernon won by 89 runs

A 65-ball century, (eventually out for 121 off 79), from Alastair Curran helped set up a great win for 10-player Stoke at Worcester Park. (Note not ten-man here as Anya Devon-Berry created a bit of history by being the first female player to play Under 21 Trust League cricket for the Club.) Read more
