Saturday 9th July 2016
Travelbag Surrey Championship – Division 4, 2nd XI competition
Kempton 2nd XI 149 all out (47.2 overs)
Stoke D’Abernon 2nd XI 152 for 2 (38.2 overs)

Stoke’s 2nd XI were back to winning ways with a great all-round team performance at promotion-chasing Kempton.
Saturday 25th June 2016
Travelbag Surrey Championship – Division 4, 2nd XI competition
Chertsey 2nd XI 132 all out (42.3 overs)
Stoke D’Abernon 2nd XI 118 all out (39.2 overs)
Chertsey 2nd XI won by 14 runs
In contrast to the disgraceful sequence of events at Sinjungrammarians last weekend, this was a triumph for positivity as both sides started on time, had two early rain breaks that might have had others shaking hands, and played out an exciting encounter. Stoke were again left to rue meeting Chertsey for the second time this season without their Captain, (1st XI call-up), and other members of their preferred XI absent for a variety of legitimate reasons.
Saturday 21st May 2016
Travelbag Surrey Championship – Division 4 – 2nd XI Competition
Chertsey 2nd XI 245 for 8 (50 overs)
Stoke D’Abernon 2nd XI 234 for 7 (50 overs)
Chertsey 2nd XI won by 11 runs
Thankfully there was no Peter Moores-esque data available to analyse after this one or we would all have gone crazy, but Stoke were left scratching their heads as this one got away. Perhaps the concession of a few too many in the field and a few missed run-scoring opportunities after tea proved decisive; nevertheless a patched up side savaged by 1st XI call-ups, the lack of a sixth bowler and a midweek injury to one of our starlets, put in a tremendous effort and nearly pulled off a great win in a great game on a good pitch.
Saturday 14th May 2016
Travelbag Surrey Championship – Division 4 – 2nd XI Competition
Kempton 2nd XI 207 all out (45.5 overs)
Stoke D’Abernon 2nd XI 117 all out (46.4 overs)
Kempton 2nd XI won by 90 runs
Hopefully just a bump in the road for the 2nd XI as they were unable to back up their opening day win against a Kempton 2nd XI on the up after recent promotions.
Saturday 7th May 2016
Travelbag Surrey Championship – Division 4 – 2nd XI Competition
Stoke D’Abernon 2nd XI 234 for 7 (50 overs)
Ripley 2nd XI 192 all out (47 overs)
Stoke D’Abernon 2nd XI won by 42 runs
A maiden League Century for Andy Page and a League debut to remember for Thomas Dennis as Stoke’s 2nd XI won their opening fixture at Ripley.
Sunday 24th April 2016
Maori Oxshott 228 for 6 (45 overs)
Stoke D’Abernon 116 all out (36.4 overs)
Maori Oxshott won by 112 runs
The first friendly derby of the year ended in a victory for Oxshott as for the second year running a traditional Stoke Sunday XI came up against an Oxshott side giving a number of their League players a first run out of the season. Stoke similarly had a few players out of hibernation who got valuable game-time in when matches around the county this weekend fell foul of the weather.
Sunday 20th September 2015
Friendly
Kingstonian 125 all out (33 overs)
Stoke D’Abernon 110 all out (38.1 overs)
Kingstonian won by 15 runs
Stoke’s Sunday side failed to chase down the total set by Kingstonian in a match where there were many games within a game as both sides had a mix of league and social players.
Saturday 12th September 2015
Friendly
Stoke D’Abernon 234 for 5 (40 overs)
Sheen Park 180 for 8 (40 overs)
Stoke D’Abernon won by 54 runs
Stoke began their post-League friendly programme with an impressive victory over Sheen Park at the Rec.
The sun was out as the captains tossed up and the weather stayed nice throughout the day despite a forecast to the contrary. Visiting captain Nazir called incorrectly and James Trower decided that Stoke would bat first on a good pitch.
Sunday 6th September 2015
Friendly
Worcester Park 145 all out (38.4 overs)
Stoke D’Abernon 100 all out (30.3 overs)
Worcester Park won by 45 runs
The loss of six wickets in ten overs after drinks was costly for the Sunday XI as they failed to chase down a moderate total set by the Worcester Park who snapped up the fixture having lost their original one.
