By Thursday morning this match looked highly unlikely as a succession of injuries, other withdrawals and an alarming absence of regulars left us with just four players and a reluctant fifth. Our thanks to Bank of England CC for giving us enough time to have another ring-around – miraculously an XI was completed and we kept one of our best Sunday fixtures alive.

As some members may be aware Adam De Swardt moved out of the area in the close season, but we’ve stayed in touch and he has dropped us a line to say “Hello.” Adam says…

“…I now play for Chislehurst & West CC. I couldn’t play this weekend as I had to study, but am playing this coming weekend again. It would’ve been nice to see you guys! In my one game for the 1st XI, I got the second highest score; only 30, but felt good.”

Last Week to get into the hat for the Dubai Trip

Toby Tarrant, Duncan Elder, James Whitmarsh and Ian Hopton were already in the hat going into last weekend’s League matches. On Saturday Adrian Mills and Adam De Swardt qualified too.
