Vote on-line on favour of Clubhouse Extension!

Dear Members!

As you may well know, our first application to extend our clubhouse was rejected by the local planning officer. The residents of Clock Cottages employed a planning consultant to make a case against our proposal and this won the day.

Our new plan was submitted yesterday. It has been modified to take account of the original objections, (eg. roof height and parking spaces), and we now need as many of you as possible to go online to register your support for the scheme. Read more

News for the 2s

People may or may not be aware that the Met Police are not playing in the Championship this year as their resource needs to be devoted to the Summer Olympics and other events in/around the capital.

The League have decided that it would be equally unfair to relegate them so clubs due to play them faced a reduced number of league games and a couple of bye weeks. This had implications for the 2nd XI, and the 2s now have an even shorter league programme following the folding of Carshalton CC. Read more

AGM News

Life Membership for Mike Baker and some minor changes at the top.

Sunday’s AGM was well attended as always – pleasingly a larger than normal number of playing members were there. President Phil Jansen oversaw proceedings; Chairman Drew Patrick and Treasurer Mike Furze reviewed matters on & off the field, and Andy Page outlined the revised clubhouse development plans. Our brilliant Club Secretary Jo Patrick was on hand to open up the bar and take minutes. Read more

Player Numbers

Gary Ballance, Scott Borthwick and Boyd Rankin became the 659th, 660th and 661st players to make a Test Match appearance for England. We have undertaken a review of our League cricket since 1994 and allocated numbers to those who have been selected for our 1st XI. Read more
