Manager Johnny Lawes has put together the following:

Many thanks to Doug for running two games this weekend and to Duncan Stewart running the game on Monday.

Friday 25th June – League v Esher – Lost by 26 runs

Stoke batted first and scored 243 for the loss of 9 wickets. Unfortunately we had 5 run outs resulting from some good fielding but also pretty poor calling from our part. Oscar top scored with 13 runs. Esher scored 269 for the loss of only 3 wickets with Ben and Tom L getting a wicket each with 2 good catches from Alfie and 1 run out. Without the loss of our wickets it would have been a very close game against one of the stronger sides in the league. Read more

Sunday 20th June – League match v Epsom – Won by 225 runs

(Match report from Jeremy Muir) Stoke beat Epsom by 225 runs, (415 to their 190.) A faultless performance from our boys captained by Tom E, although Epsom fielded a very young and inexperienced side. We lost no wickets to their loss of 13. Four from Ben, (three in one over), three from Charlie, (in one over with a maiden in his other), 2 to Alfie with one each from Ollie, Freddy, Tom and Oscar (who also took a couple of the catches at square leg).  Extras were kept to a creditable 24. Batting partnerships were Freddy & Tom 61, Oscar & Charlie 61, Ollie & Jeffrey 41 and Ben & Alfie 52, (Ben hitting two sixes.) Highest individual score Ben with 34, followed by Oscar on 27 and Freddy on 22. Man of the Match : Ben  Read more

Surrey Trust League Player of the Season

After the team photo was taken on Sunday there was an additional presentation made to Will Gudgeon who was chosen as our Surrey Trust League Player of the Year for the 2009 season.

The winners from each club are presented with a signed bat kindly donated by Surrey CCC, and a Surrey Pro usually does the honours on Finals Day. Sadly Will was unable to attend last year so he received his signed bat from Ralphie, (not a Surrey Pro), after Sunday’s match. Read more
