National Club Champions Chester-le-Street were given a bye when the National Club Championship First Round draw was made this week.

A depleted Stoke 1st XI ended their first season in the Surrey Championship with a last over defeat at Dorking in what turned out to be a nailbiter.
The home side gave Andy Page’s men first use of their own strip, and Gavin Gresse and Will Patrick added 47 for the opening wicket before falling in successive overs; Patrick scooping to keeper Chave off Kelsey for 14; Gresse, (32), misjudging an inswinger from Chadwick and falling leg-before offering no shot.
