Match reports from Duncan Stewart…
Friday 11th June – Gladys Chitty match v Esher – Lost by 6 runs
Esher elected to field first, with Stoke reaching 247 in their 16 overs. Olly top scored with ten with everyone else chipping in a few. The outfield was large and slow making 4s difficult to come by, (only two scored in the whole match.) On a positive note, Stoke only lost 3 wickets in their 16 overs compared to Esher’s five. There’s still work to be done on running between the wickets. The bowling and fielding was much improved from the last game, with some strong bowling figures from Nicholas, Rory, Olly, and a great first over by Matthew. There was also some great keeping from Zach. Read more
The Colts Fundraising Night is fast approaching – FRIDAY 9TH JULY starting at 5pm!! This event is for all colts and their families.
We need to raise £3,000 in the balance of this year so that we can install an artificial wicket at the top of the square. As many of you will appreciate, having this facility will make a huge difference to the colts, as it will enable them to play more games at SDCC. Read more
