Adi breaks record Stoke T20 score as Stoke beat the Avorians

Stoke D’Abernon 170 for 5 (20 overs)
Cobham Avorians 153 for 7 (20 overs)
Stoke D’Abernon won by 17 runs

Stoke and the Avorians played out an entertaining encounter at the Rec, the senior players getting valuable time in the middle ahead of Saturday’s League fixtures and the younger players gaining more experience. Read more

Surrey Championship Survey

As you might know the Ryman Surrey Championship have asked Olly Roland-Jones, Sunbury CC and brother of friend of Stoke Toby R-J, to chair the Cricket Committee. One of his objectives, and that of the Championship, is to establish some new lines of communication, get feedback from players and look at all they do to improve ourselves and our cricketing experience. Academy fail to Qualify for latter stages of the Trust League

Stoke’s Academy fell to a defeat at Reigate Priory to miss out on qualification for the latter stages of the Surrey Trust League.

A couple of things needed to go Stoke’s way to ensure qualification.

(1)  Win!

(2) End the campaign with a higher average runs per wicket, (head to head or net run rate were not deciders, thankfully), than Worcester Park or Valley End. Read more

1st XI deal emphatically with Merrow threat

Stoke D’Abernon won by 9 wickets

Another, but unexpected, short day for Stoke’s 1st XI as a hungry bowling quartet ran through Merrow’s batting line up in under 20 overs to keep the leaders looking over their shoulder. Read more
