Umpire(s) needed for 2nd XI matches

Dear Members!

We are in urgent need of a few volunteers to umpire our 17 Second XI matches in the Surrey Championship. The first match will be played at home on Saturday 7th May and the final game is on September 3rd. (For full details of the Fixtures see this link http://www.stokecc.co.uk/fixtures.php on our website.) Good knowledge of the laws of cricket plus experience of umpiring senior games are essential requirements. An ECB L1 Umpiring qualification would be a bonus.

The hosts capitalised on our batting struggles and only Greg was able to break the shackles with a series of powerful boundaries, scoring 40 in just 27 balls. We were all out for 134. The hosts’ bowling was impressive, especially from Fawad (4-26) and Fox (3-6).
