A century for Jase Earl at the Rec as Stoke avenged their mid-week T20 defeat.

Stoke batted first on the same pitch used by the 2nd XI the previous day; Nico Spreeth and Alistair McMillan had to use all their skill and be wary of the low bounce. Consequently runs were hard to come by early doors. Spreeth survived a chance on the circle, but didn’t have the patience of his partner and departed in a similar fashion in the eighth over.
