Jon Elworthy has penned the following and is asking for YOUR HELP!!!
Dear All
I have taken an “executive” decision to pull out of the remaining two indoor matches for the U13s. This is due to several reasons, one being the fact that Pagie and I are both unavailable this week and that the title and runners up place have already been secured by others. I have enjoyed the games, but Andy and I have both struggled with the organisation of teams every week. We are keen to put in a team again next year but this will be dependent on the number of girls who join the Girls section and the number that put themselves forward for weekly selection. I know that the timing, 5.30pm on a Friday was difficult for many, as was the concept of playing cricket in the middle of winter. Andy and I would like to thank “the regulars” who attended week in, week out. I hope you enjoyed the competition and I think towards the end of the season we were giving each side we played a really good game. I know that one of the team is up for an award, which is no mean feat in our first year against competition that included many Surrey CAG boys. So well done everyone involved. I will let you know when the awards night is happening.
An update from Pagie including opportunities for budding umpires and scorers:
Dear All,

An excited Andy Page has called in on his way back home from Tolworth to deliver news of an incredible win for the Stoke Molesey Ladies against Epsom, who had won all of their previous matches in the competition to this point.
Batting first, and having been 0 for 2 off the first two balls, then 1 for 3 soon after due to a suicidal run out, the Stoke Molesey Ladies were clearly on the back foot. Enter Rosie with 65 and good contributions from the tail, the girls got themselves up to 122 all out.
After the frustrations of losing nearly all their outdoor matches to weather and opposition forfeitures in 2012, the Stoke Molesey Ladies have been playing Indoor League.
Jon Elworthy, (EMCC), has taken time out to pen this note regarding a recent match against Epsom:
A message from Pagie…
With the end of the outdoor season ending in a wash out, making nine rain-offs out of twelve fixtures arranged/re-arranged, we are now moving into the indoor season so at least we can guarantee(?!?!) not to be affected by the weather. We are entered into the Surrey Indoor League and our first game is on Friday 12th October at 5.30 pm against Old Wimbledonians.
We have received the following pictures from the Stoke Molesey Ladies Awards Night from Jon Elworthy at East Molesey CC.
Nine of the twelve sceduled fixtures were lost to the weather, but there was still time to win some silverware at the Surrey Under 13s festival. (http://www.stokecc.co.uk/news/?p=3847)
Jon Elworthy, (EMCC), writes…
The finely oiled Administration machine that is Jon Elworthy has to admit a let down in communication on the announcement of the Stoke Molesey Ladies Awards that are TOMORROW at EMCC. The prizes for the Ladies will be given at around 6.30pm. There is a Hog roast, bouncy castle, disco etc from 5.30pm.
More recognition for the Stoke Molesey Ladies section. Andy Page writes…
Alex Travers plays for Stoke Molesey and is a great U11 player who keeps wicket and is a clean striker of the ball. I have never seen a girl so young hit a ball so cleanly. Sophie Pout, on the right of the photo in the article, (see link below), is helping out. Stoke members may also Laura Piercey, (on the left), also used to help coach the former Stoke D’Abernon CC Women’s side. Both Sophie and Laura have played for male SDCC sides.
