Stoke’s 2nd XI were back to winning ways with an efficient victory in Dulwich, (the first ever victory by any Stoke XI at this venue); wickets shared by four of six bowlers used who all performed well; then knocking the runs off with the best part of seventeen overs to spare. Read more

Stoke’s 2nd XI surrendered their 100% league record at Burpham after a succession of single figure scores in the top order left the lower order and tail too much to do to post a defendable total. Read more

Stoke’s 2nd XI recorded a second league win out of two with an efficient performance against a Chertsey side missing a few familiar faces due to 1st XI call-ups and an injury to their main all-rounder and captain. Read more

2nd XI beat 8-man Oxshott

Stoke D’Abernon 2nd XI won by 8 wickets

Stoke’s 2nd XI won their opening League fixture at the Rec after making short work of an Oxshott side who were missing three players due to come down after playing their school match. In the end they never made it. Read more

2nd XI lose at Dorking

For the second week running Stoke’s second string lost by 11 runs.

In the field first after losing the toss, Adrian Mills was back after injury and provided his usual brand of accuracy and economy, bowling his ten over allocation for the concession of just 27 runs, six of them courtesy of a mighty blow by Homewood who raced to 35 before picking out Greg Routley at mid-on. 52 for 1. Stoke’s second string lost control of their own destiny going into the final weekend of the season, leaking a few too many runs with the ball and not capitalising on a good platform in the run chase. Read more

Big win for the 2nd XI over Ashford

Stoke’s 2nd XI hauled themselves out of the relegation places with a big win over Ashford at the Rec; Stoke perhaps fortunate to catch Ashford in a week of poor availability for the second time this season, (the visitors started with nine in the field and only ten played), but this was still a clinical display. Jase inspires incredible 2s win at Camberley
