1st XI lose at Sanderstead

Such is the topsy-turvy nature of Division 5 this season a win would have taken Stoke’s 1st XI back to third in the table at Sanderstead, but a defeat – with no points – leaves us in sixth spot and in serious need of a run of wins to re-ignite promotion prospects. Read more

A club record Surrey Championship margin of victory for Stoke’s 1st XI with a dominant performance over a Godalming side still very much in transition. Results elsewhere also saw Stoke move top of Division 5 for the first time this season. Read more

A much-changed Stoke 1st XI missing a number of regular players registered their third victory in a row with a successful run chase at a picturesque Churt Cricket Ground. The game was a tremendous advert for Championship cricket as all results were possible going into the closing overs. Read more

Stoke 1s disappointed with loss to Chertsey

So the game finished and we lost. Disappointing, but that doesn’t tell the story.

First of all by the time we got to the bar after the game the scorebook was missing. Working on the assumption that one of the oppo may have taken it to copy it up and somehow neglected to leave it behind your correspondent gave Greg, (Chertsey CC captain), a call.
