Before reading on a massive vote of thanks to Maori Oxshott for hosting this fixture. Stoke were starved of friendly T20 action having had both oppositions from last week scratch due to lack of numbers. Oxshott did, in fact, raise a side at very short notice to replace one of them last week, only for both sides to be beaten by the weather, but undeterred the clubs raised sides again. Read more

Stoke scored a win over their friends from Claygate in their penultimate mid-week T20 fixture of the season. This match proved a more than useful work-out for those expected to compete for places in the weekend’s league sides, one of whom was Toby Tarrant who was making his first appearance for the club since last June. Trust League Confirm Final League Position

After Sunday’s dramatic win over Worcester Park, SDCC made an enquiry to the Surrey Trust League regarding the fixture against Horley that was scheduled for Sunday 10th August.

When the fixture was arranged last winter, Stoke and Horley had a verbal agreement that if the cycling route, when announced, placed the fixture in jeopardy we would look for a solution. We made made it clear that we would not play hardball and would look to find a solution to playing a match. Read more
