The League AGM was held on Monday 26th January. Big changes to the points scoring system are coming in which will be captured in a separate item on the site, but for now here are some brief details of what happened at the meeting:
1. Ryman will be stopping their sponsorship at the end of the season.
2. New playing rules will be in a separate bespoke document for each tier. The rules stay the same.
3. A large number of fines are being abolished; however consistent offenders will be fined £100 by the Executive Committee, (approximately four or more offences and the number of e-mails and phone calls is the benchmark.)
4. The League elected a new Chairman, Peter Murphy. He played for Woking for 40 years, was chair of the Fuller’s Brewery Surrey County League and has been with the Championship since 1992. Read more
