Senior Awards Night – Cheap Beer!

A reminder for this evening’s awards from Drew and Jo:

1. The evening will commence at 7.00pm, with awards scheduled for 7.30pm and Chilli & Rice afterwards.
2. Spitfire and Asahi will be sold at a special price for the evening of £2.00 a pint.

Adrian and Becca Married

Thursday 20th September 2012 saw the biggest fixture of the season so far as Adrian and Becca tied the knot.

Representatives of the Stoke Massive were at the evening do, by which time it was near impossible to get them in one picture together due to the number of guests they had to speak to. However we’ve managed to get them for few precious seconds individually with the following results… Read more

2nd XI to Play Division 4 cricket again in 2013

Confirmation has been issued by the League regarding the number of relegations, (but not promotions), as a result of the withdrawal of Brook, (1st & 2nd XI), and Carshalton, (2nd XI), in 2012…

In view of the difficulty in getting sufficient players to put out two sides, Brook CC withdrew from the Surrey Championship. Their 1st XI played in Division 1 and their 2nd XI played in Division 4. Read more

Sunday Friendly lost to the weather

Unfortunately the friendly match at Thursley scheduled fror this Sunday, (10th), has been lost to the weather.

Barry Rapley, Thursley CC Chairman, takes up the story…

“…We have made a decision to call off the weekends fixtures. Another downpour ago made our minds up. I have never known our square and outfield so wet as it has been this season. I have just come home from the club and I fully understand our groundsman’s situation; too wet to mow the square, too wet to mow outfield, tractor sinking and leaving tyre marks!” Read more

Clubhouse Extension Planning Application Approved!

Dear Members!

I am delighted to confirm that our revised plan for the clubhouse extension was approved by the Elmbridge planning committee at their meeting last Monday. This is great news! 69 members and supporters went online to register their support and this had a significant bearing on the committee’s decision to approve the plan without any additional queries. Ladies Postponed

Tonight’s Women’s Surrey Trust League match at ‘home’ (East Molesey CC) between Stoke Molesey Ladies and Epsom has been postponed due to bad weather as Jon Elworthy, (EMCC), writes:

“Once again the Gods are against us and the match has had to be postponed. Andy (Page) and I will be looking to arrange another match with Epsom. Obviously as I type this the sun is coming out; but the pitch will take more than a few hours to dry out enough. See you all at Stoke (for girls’ training) on Saturday.” Read more
