Stoke’s Sunday XI completed a hat-trick of wins in senior cricket for the weekend with a nail-biting win against newly found friends from Linden Park from Kent, who were first to answer the advertisement placed after the original opposition, Giltec, called to say they were unable to raise a side.

Stoke D’Abernon 2nd XI won by 4 wickets
Stoke’s second string had a similar total to chase as their buddies from the 1s, and were also successful, passing Horsley & Send’s total with more than seven overs to spare to open their account for the season with a bonus point win.

After the Cricket on Saturday, we are planning on having a BBQ down at the club while we watch the Champions League Final.
The 2s have a home game, so come down and watch that, and then stay for some food and beer after. The 1s will be joining us after they have played their match and done their post-game socialising at Godalming.
SDCC took a call from Giltec yesterday advising that they were unable to raise a side for this coming Sunday.
After advertising for an opposition, we are please to advise that Linden Park CC made contact, and they will be coming to Stoke for a 2pm start.
