A message of congratulations has been received from Ian Wellman to Alistair McMillan after the latter became Stoke’s all-time leading run-scorer at the weekend:
Welly writes…
Please add my congratulations to those given to Ali at the weekend for passing my all-time run scoring record at the Club. I know that Ali has “inched” his way to the landmark this season , but I think it is remarkable that he actually passed my record at Deando Ruxley. I always remember that it was a “challenging” place to bat, to say the least.
Mixed fortunes, but good cricket from the Under 11s and the Under 12s…

“Unfortunately we were unable to continue our good form and we lost our second game of the season today against Richmond CC.
Our Skipper Ben won the toss and elected to bat first, but we made a slow start and didn’t get going until good mid-order partnerships between Elliot, (who scored 16 off 36 balls), Ben, (11 off 27), and Jack, (21 off 18.) Our score of 96 was also greatly assisted by 41 extras (13 byes, 11 wides and 3 no balls.)
