Cricket in October

Sadly no cricket this weekend. One fixture we held out for never materialised as the opposition were unable the secure the pitch they were confident of booking. The other possible opposition we spoke to were sceptical they would have their pitch, and this was confirmed when we saw them advertising for an away fixture towards the back end of the week.

So, on the playing side, no more outdoor cricket this year; and no chance to create any history by playing an outdoor match later in the year than ever before. Maybe next year…

1st October 1972 v Ewhurst

1st October 1977 v Ewhurst
