League Dinner 2017

Surrey Championship League Dinner time and 17 Stokers made it to The Oval via the pub.

Firstly a thanks to Drew for making this happen for us and it was a shame he wasn’t able to attend an excellent evening himself due to another commitment. A space was kept for the Club Captain…

The boys from Churt picked us out to say hello, and seemed more interested in Tarrant’s whereabouts that collecting their prize; Russell Clayton of Alleyn continued his attempts to sign up Pagie and Malcolm for a crack at Div 5 and nine games in Dulwich next season, provoking these reactions…

…and one-time Stoker Jeremy Beckwith also said hello – he can be seen in the background of the above picture.

The variety of handy train connections meant some of us made an early dash for home, but a few stayed on and saw off the last of our 2017 League commitments with a few more jars.
