The West Surrey Youth Cricket League AGM is on Thursday 19th October 2017.
The previous year’s AGM minutes are here for those with an interest on how things work, (WSYCL AGM MINS 2016), but probably of more interest to players and managers(?) are the proposed rule changes for the 2018 season.
The proposed changes can be viewed here : WSYCL 2018 Rule Changes
SENIOR PLAYERS PLEASE NOTE THERE IS AN OPPORTUNITY FOR YOU TO PLAY IN SOME OF THESE MATCHES, SO PLEASE READ!
Kevin adds :
The proposed changes to their League structures are also included:
– options for mixed age junior teams, (to help clubs with low numbers.)
– an Under 17 league which has to have a minimum of six Under 17s in the team, but seniors can make up the rest.
– changes to pitch length & boundaries at younger age groups.
Separate to the WSYCL we also have the Mid Surrey Leagues we traditionally enter stronger teams in. The Surrey Cricket Foundation, I believe, are also extending the Surrey Invitational Junior Leagues, (SIJL), they launched at two age groups last season for the best age group teams in the county.
Plus of course, the Surrey Trust League activities and senior players’ support helping our colts into senior cricket.
So increased options for us to consider next season, once clarified we can get together this and agree what leagues to enter to best suit our colts’ requirements at all ages.
If you have any comments ahead of the AGM, please let Kevin know.
