…or in this one…

Wokingham v Stoke Ladies 2008

(Yes, the same player scored the century shown on this scoreboard – she actually scored 116 not out – – making runs too quickly for scorers even then!)

These were pictures taken from the 2008 ‘Season to Remember’ when the when the men’s 1st and 2nd XIs won promotion, (the 2s were promoted as Champions), and the girls won the Womens Cricket Southern League at the first attempt :

We’ve dug out the review of the girls’ season and it can be viewed here : 2008 Stoke Womens Review

But that season was not all about Nat – five others from this squad went on to represent the full Surrey 1st XI side – one still plays – others to join us in the following seasons also made the Surrey 1st XI, and we have one of our current generation in the England Development Programme.

We offer cricket for girls of all ages and abilities, and we play in both the Womens Cricket Southern League and the Womens Surrey Trust Development League.

Here is a previous press article where Nat talks of her introduction to the game with us :

…and Twitterland also generated some nice feedback for the Club:

We’ll look to see if Nat can bring the cup to Stoke for us to have a look at, as she did the Ashes Trophy the last time we won it here. Watch this space for details…
