Adam De Swardt 100 not out v Battersea Ironsides

Adam says Hello

As some members may be aware Adam De Swardt moved out of the area in the close season, but we’ve stayed in touch and he has dropped us a line to say “Hello.” Adam says…

“…I now play for Chislehurst & West CC. I couldn’t play this weekend as I had to study, but am playing this coming weekend again. It would’ve been nice to see you guys! In my one game for the 1st XI, I got the second highest score; only 30, but felt good.”

When reminded that he missed the Awards Night last September, where he scooped the Australia Cup, Adam says:

“…Yes, I need to get a photo with the trophy! I plan to visit Regardt one Sunday when you guys are playing at home.”

So we asked him to let us know when he was coming and to bring his kit, the response was:

“Thanks. I will stay in touch, maybe in a few years a buy a property there, then I’m back.”

When letting us know in the winter he was moving on the last line of his e-mail was a real tell : “Thanks for the wonderful time at Stoke, I have enjoyed my cricket by far the most there.”

Adam’s stats with both clubs have been merged with on the ECB Play Cricket network, so you can see his combined Stoke and Chislehurst & West numbers here: http://sdacc.play-cricket.com/website/player_stats_widget/batting_stats/3383011?rule_type_id=179
