Having progressed through all years of age-group, Trust League & Under 19 T20 cricket, JT became the 21st different, (post-1970 Centenary Year era), Club Captain, (full list here – http://www.stokecc.co.uk/honours-board/); and struck gold straight away by delivering the first 1st XI promotion since 2008.
JT already has 3360 career runs to his name for Stoke in senior cricket, including three centuries, (two of them against Sheen Park), and despite a relatively lean year with the bat in 2016 there were still important contributions; notably in July against Kempton where he shared a new record opening stand for the Club in the Surrey Championship era of 161, (unbroken), with Ian Hopton.
