In Stoke’s last Under 9 League game of 2016, the boys finished the season in style against Esher.

Bowling first, we restricted Esher to 222 for 9 off 16 overs. Star performers with the ball were Toby B who took 4 for 0 (!) and D’Vidis Jnr who took 2 for 0.

In return, all the boys batted well with some great running by Stanley and Lawrence. With a bit of showmanship, Louis W ended the season in style, hitting a six from the last ball against the best opposition bowler.

Having wrapped up the main league, we still have an outside chance of winning the Gladys Chitty League, (current table : http://westsycl.play-cricket.com/website/websites/view_division?id=64411), depending on other results.

We have one hard ball friendly against Valley End and then a round robin tournament against the other Under 9 divisional winners; Farnham and Royal Ascot, (most probably), later in the summer.
