I had the privilege of watching part of today’s game and what a privilege it was.

It was an absolutely outstanding result, but it was the manner of the win that most impressed me. It was an almost faultless performance.

I don’t like singling out players as it’s a team performance but it was great to welcome back Jenny who played like she hadn’t been away.

It was a fantastic debut for Maddie who took two wickets. Charlotte persevered through the game despite not feeling well, what a stalwart.

Well done to Katie for winning player of the match, very well deserved.

Well done to Sue as she is new to the game and trying very hard and to Fi who had to sit this one out due to a mistake by me, (sorry Fi!) It is great for the team to have these two ladies on board.

All very well lead by Rosie whose guiding hand and quiet reassurance ensures a great spirit within the team. It’s great to hear the on pitch encouragement from everyone – aside from the captain I heard Alex, Emma, Katie and Jenny lead the way in the verbal department.

Well done to the entire team! You were an absolute credit to your home clubs Stoke D’Abernon and East Molesey.
