Jack in Australia (2) and other World News

After his opening day washout, Jack made it on to the field for his debut and hit 46 to help his club, Power House CC, defeat the equally unusually named Maccabi Ajax. We still await a match report, and details of his latest match, but we have found a scorecard:

Elsewhere around the world, Hiken is waiting to find out if he has made the Mumbai Ranji Trophy squad, but his club, Payyade Sports Club, lead Division A of the Dr.H.D.Kanga League – http://www.mumbaicricket.com/mca/Point_Table_Dr_H_D_Kanga_Cricket_League_2012.asp

Here is a link to the recent tournament results : http://www.mumbaicricket.com/mca/Dr_H_D_Kanga_Cricket_League_2012_Brief_Scores.asp – click on a date and select & view Division A where you will see he has a couple of 30s to his name. Another player named in some of the scores for Payyade is Praful Waghela who was Whiteley Village’s overseas player in 2008. The one time we faced him on the field was in a Fuller’s League Cup tie where he scored a ton.

From Australia to India to South Africa. Former Stoke opening bowler Robbie Keulemans, and his wife Ronel, have recently celebrated the birth of their first child, Jayden…

Robbie writes : “Hi to all team mates and Stoke members! Trust you are all well and enjoyed the season. I am happy to introduce our little boy to you all. We truly blessed with a healthy child who is growing by the day. He’s very tall so should you require a fast bowler, let me know so I can start training him. Thanks for handing South Africa the number 1 spot in Test Cricket much appreciated….. LOL!!!!!”

Oops! The last sentence bit slipped through editorial, but we must also remind Robbie that we are still trying to extradite him back to the UK on charges of theft of the original Bob Willis Cup!!!

Closer to home, more ‘action’ shots of Will Patrick at work are in circulation:

In the competition now named “Where’s Willy?” by he of pony tail, the pint of Asahi is still up for grabs. (See related article : http://www.stokecc.co.uk/news/?p=4318) Send your three guesses in!

The word is also out that James Corbishley has passed his driving Test and Paddy Wilson has received an offer from Exeter Uni, a popular choice for Stoke players with James Whitmarsh and James Lander already there.
