Centuries for Amy Page and Sophie Pout as Women win big

Women’s Cricket Southern League

Stoke D’Abernon 323 for 3

East Herts Ladies 45 all out

Stoke D’Abernon won by 278 runs

Amy Page, (107), and Sophie Pout, (118 not out), both smashed centuries and shared a 3rd wicket stand of 202 as the Stoke ladies racked up 323 runs for the loss of just four wickets in their allotted 40 overs.

Page’s first hundred for the club included 15 fours and a six. Pout found the fence eighteen times and cleared it on the full once. The pair came together after Claire Trafford, (30), and Shannen Miah, (22), made starts but fell to Pearson, (3-70), and Deacon, (1-64.)

In reply, Millie Frost took three wickets, Jenny Gluckman and Rosie McEwing took a brace each and there was a wicket-a-piece for Megan Kapadia and Suzie Wood as East Hertfordshire were skittled for just 45. No batter made double figures, (top scorer 9), and ‘extras’ top scored with 21.
